First Class Meeting
Our first class meeting will be a recitation on Monday, February 6. If we you're not sure what section to come to (e.g., you haven't been assigned one above), please come to either 34-101 at 9am, or 26-100 at noon to get started.

End of Semester Planning
Please note that the final exam for 6.101 may be as late as Wednesday, May 24 (the specific date to be scheduled by the MIT Registrar). We will not have options for earlier exams, so please plan your schedule and travel to be sure you can take the final exam in person as late as May 24. This also applies to cross-registered students -- 6.101 follows the MIT calendar, by which the term may end later than at your home institution. (And similarly, cross-registered students will also need to take the midterm exam on March 22 evening.)
Before Start of Semester Announcements
Welcome to 6.101! We're very much looking forward to working with you all this spring! There are some important steps you need to take by 2pm on Sunday, Feb. 5 to get set up for our first class in 6.101 on Monday, Feb. 6!

Recitation Section Scheduling
It is important to note that we do not use the Registrar-assigned Section assignments in 6.101. Instead, we need you to fill out the Student Schedule Preferences and information survey by Sunday, Feb. 5 at 2pm. We will use this information to assign you to a recitation section, which will be indicated at the top of this page by Sunday evening.
Note also that we do not schedule the Friday Open Lab sessions; those are available as open times for you to get staff help, and are entirely optional.
-
Prerequisites
The pre-requisite for 6.101 is passing 6.100A (formerly known as 6.0001) or its ASE. This pre-requisite is strictly enforced. You will not be allowed to submit assignments in the spring if you have not completed the prerequisite by the start of the semester, even if you pre-register.
