Announcements from Week 0 (Week of 4 September)

  1. Recitation Section Scheduling

    It is important to note that we do not use the Registrar-assigned Section assignments in 6.101. Instead, we need you to fill out the Student Schedule Preferences and information survey by Saturday, 9 September, at 4pm. We will use this information to assign you to a recitation section, which will be indicated at the top of this page by Sunday evening.

    Note also that we do not schedule the Friday Open Lab sessions; those are available as open times for you to get staff help, and are entirely optional. Both Friday open lab hour sessions will be in 34-501 this week.

  2. First Class Meeting

    Our first class meeting will be a recitation on Wednesday, 6 September. We will not have our section assignments finalized by that point, so for the first week, it should be fine to come to any section that works for your schedule (though if the registrar assigned you a section, it might be a good idea to go there to help balance things for the first week). As mentioned above, we'll be doing our own section assignments in 6.101 this semester, which will be available in the second week of the class.

  3. Prerequisites

    The pre-requisite for 6.101 is passing 6.100A (formerly known as 6.0001) or its ASE. This pre-requisite is strictly enforced. You will not be allowed to submit assignments in this term if you have not completed the prerequisite by the start of the semester, even if you register.
